City Halls Vodova

This multi- purpose sports hall is primarily meant to be used for ball sports such as basketball, volleyball, handball and futsal. The Big Hall has hosted many events over the time including sports competitions of the highest level. This place serves as the home of a few top class teams from Brno.

The 40 x 20 m playing area has a hardwood flooring, more specifically the upper layer is made of solid oak whose parts are assembled onto a flexible grate. Height of the ceiling above the floor is 12,5 m.

This sporting venue has a two level spectator stands with a seating capacity of 2900. For the purpose of arranging cultural and other social events, the inclusion of ground floor standing places increases the maximum capacity up to 5500.

The smaller out of two multi- purpose halls is primarily meant to be used for ball sports such as basketball, volleyball, handball and futsal. The space is usable for arrangement of various cultural and social events.

The 40 x 20 m playing area has an oak flooring installed onto a flexible grate. Height of the ceiling above the floor is 8 m. This sporting venue has a one level spectator stand which provides seats for 900 persons. For the purpose of arranging cultural and other social events, the addition of ground floor standing places increases the maximum capacity up to 1400.

The ice rink Vodova is one of the biggest outdoor ice rinks in Czech Republic and it's located near the multi-functional halls. For the first time it was in commission in 1970. The ice rink has an optimal size (56 x 26 m).

Schools have a possibility to rent this venue for training purposes but it is also an ideal place for public to enjoy their hobbies such as ice skating and ice hockey.
